About
​Clovis Peryer (rhymes with merrier) was admitted to the Bar in NZ in 1991.
​
He litigated for several years before joining White & Case LLP in Tokyo, and the world of cross border commercial law.
​​​
In 2000 he was admitted as a solicitor in England & Wales and became registered as a Foreign Licensed Lawyer in Japan​​.
In 2005 he returned to New Zealand and joined Air New Zealand as in house counsel, before taking on senior management responsibilities in the fleet and funding areas, and general management.
​
From 2016 as Head of Japan he experienced the KIX and ICN launches, the HND Inaugural, the Rolls Royce engine issues, the 2019 Rugby World Cup, the Pandemic and then the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, in 2021.
Covid also gave him the opportunity to work on the airline's recapitalisation project in New Zealand before returning to Japan to lead the rebuild.

​​​​​​In 2024 Clovis returned to New Zealand and became authorised by the New Zealand Law Society to practice on his own account as a Barrister & Solicitor.
